Job Description

Golf Course ManagerAbout The RoleLeicester City FC have an exciting opportunity to join their award-winning Sports Turf and Grounds team. The overall objective of the Golf Course Manager is To Manage the development and upkeep of the 9 Hole Golf Course and its surrounding areas at the Clubsnew Training Ground.This role will offer the candidate the opportunity to lead a team, drive the highest levels of engagement and performance within the team, and ensure consistency of the standards of the course that meets the needs of any users which may include the Clubsownership, players, or external visitors.Who Were Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have significant experience (minimum 2 years) of working within a similar management capacity and with strong organisational, people and leadership skills. Essential knowledge, skills and qualifications required for the role include;-Experience in the production and implementation of a working maintenance program, consisting of mowing regimes, fertilizer applications, and bio stimulant / growth regulator usage-Wide ranging knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees and planting schemes-PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying qualifications-Demonstrable experience in leading a team to achieve departmental objectivesWe need someone who can communicate clearly and efficiently to delegate and carry out instructions, collaborate with departments across the Sports Turf Academy, and demonstrate honesty, integrity, reliability and professionalism at all times. The individualwill take pride and ownership of the golf course and greenkeeping team whilst valuing and encouraging individual and team progression and development.About The ClubKnowing some of the history of Leicester City Football Club helps you appreciate the sense of community, spirit and family for which the Foxes are renowned for.Formed in 1884, the Club has been in the Premier League since 2014 when the Foxes were promoted as Championship winners.
