Job Description

Youll be at your happiest buried in an excel spreadsheet developing a finance model to support a colleague with a bid and will happily explain how the wonderful spreadsheet youve created can help them with their query.What youll be doing:You will be working with both finance and non finance colleagues to develop models to analyse information critical to helping the charity operate successfully.You will also contribute to other financial team tasks such as preparing financial returns and contributing to the budgeting process.You will collaborate with other key colleagues on system related projects to enhance the accounting systems, interfaces elsewhere and continue to streamline and improve processes.What youll need to offer:A positive approach to new tasks and challenges and a commitment to the values of the charity is as important as previous experience, but the skills and experience that this organisation is hoping to see from you include:A blend of great communication and analytical skills as well as a proactive approach to managing a busy workload.Previous experience working within a finance team and potentially you will be either a studying accountant with any of the following qualifications or equivalent - CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA or ACA (ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI) or you could be qualified by experience.With a focus on finance modelling in this role youll have developed fluency around excel tasks and know your way around a spreadsheet.Whats in it for you:As a package many of the best perks of this role are those you cant put a price on and this is a flexible organisation providing an environment where you can thrive and bring your whole self to work:* They also remain dedicated to hybrid working so this truly is a role that will allow you to achieve a positive work life balance with c2 - 3 days based in their Leeds office with free onsite parking.* The positive sense of purpose that the work you do will all contribute to achieving great outcomes for our local community working with some high profile stakeholders across some ambitious and innovative projects and programmes.* A real commitment to all staff for continuous personal development and training, you can drive what this might look like for you with paid and tailored learning.* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 30 days with service and the option to buy up to 5 additional days per year* Employee assistance programme available 24/7 with access to counselling and GP services and staff discounts including cycle to work scheme* Disability confident employer and dedicated to recruiting, supporting and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce with employee networks including BAME, LGBT+ and Mental Health & wellbeing.* A salary of c£28,000 with scope for internal progression and future development.
