Job Description

SEND Teaching Assistant, ScunthorpeReed Education are lookingfor a SENDTeaching Assistant to join a popular Primary Schoolin Sunthorpe, based in oneclass on a full-time basis, supporting a childwith some additional needs. The successful applicant will support the childalongside an experiencedteacher and team of wider professionals to help drive positive engagement and progress in learning tasks and social activities throughout School.Responsibilities:

Supporting anindividual child to access the curriculum and social activities around school
Working collaboratively alongside the class teacher to help monitor understanding and plan next steps
Helping to prepare the classroom environment and activities ready for the day and the lessons
Following the schools policy for behaviour and maintaining high standards
Depending on experience, you may be expected to cover the class if the teacher is absent

Requirements:

Experience of working in a school setting in the last 5 years (essential)
Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification (desirable)
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

Hours: Full time, 5 days per week
Salary: £70-£80per day dependingon experience
