School Inclusion Support Worker / Teaching AssistantHuddersfield, West Yorkshire£20,916.00 - £22,015.00 annual (ACTUAL SALARY)32.5 hours p/w term time ONLY plus 5 inset daysJoseph Norton Academy in Huddersfield is a special academy educating children and young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties across Kirklees. These values are reflected in our Ways of Working.As a School Inclusion Support Worker / Teaching Assistant at this school in Huddersfield, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future. This includes:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Supporting the pupils in class
  • Helping those who need extra support
  • Completing pupils records
  • Taking the lead on specific activities and sessions
  • Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home
THE CANDIDATE
  • Experience in a school or similar setting
  • IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
  • Educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent OR willingness to undertake
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle OR willingness to learn
