Initial Role Objectives
  • Assist with the day-to-day Support
  • Make sure all assets are recorded and PCs are named correctly
  • Documentation for Standard Procedures
  • Intune machines where necessary
  • Update and document Net suite print server on workstations
  • Your Role will include
  • Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose, and solve hardware/software Incidents/problems
  • Incident and problem management
  • Work with the IT Manager to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
  • Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies
  • Always maintain a strong customer focus.
  • Install, maintain, and support new applications
  • Contribute to policies, processes, and procedures
  • Establishing a good working relationship with the business and 3rd party
  • Assist the IT Manager with the local area network, business, and software services
  • Analyse support issues and make recommendations
  • Comply with company software, ensuring all software is legal and records are maintained
  • Communicate technical issues to the business in a non-technical manner
  • Assist with maintaining and implementing network infrastructure
  • About You
  • To be considered as an IT Technician, you will need experience in:
  • Previous Experience in an IT Support Role
  • Experience in installing, using, and administering one or more computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux
  • Experience of an IT Service Management system to manage, allocate and monitor tasks
  • The ability to troubleshoot a multitude of hardware and software problems and to learn/adapt to new technologies
  • Understanding of Networks, Switches and Firewalls
  • Experience with deploying and configuring new IT technologies
  • Experience dealing with customers face to-face, by telephone, ITSM, Live Chat and via email
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, servers, desktop PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
