Job Description

Newly created jobs can lack certainty but they more than make up for it in other ways.In particular - theyre moulded to you.Yes theres some overriding duties. But the breadth of your job will depend on your background. Your skills. Your personality. Youre not writing you own job description but you are polishing up the draft. This is a newly created job designed to provide support to the MD and Group Head of T&C.Youll support the MD and their advice team technically. Youll be the in-house go to person. And youll support the Head of T&C (and the firms Regional Managers) with T&C. They have a raft of other responsibilities so youll free them up for those so youll be in two peoples good books straightaway.Another knock on effect of a newly created job is that youll have a lots of responsibility and freedom. Youre there to ease the burden on senior leaders and youll have the trust of the business to get on with the job at hand. A micro-managed world it isnot. This is a positive work culture where the onus of T&C is to give advisers more confidence. Whether that be technical coaching or soft skill development, youll work with them to get them to be the best they can. And the better the adviser, the better the outcomefor each client. Everyone wins.As youd expect, youll be training and overseeing induction courses. Youll also help each new adviser through to CAS and help them maintain SPS. The three Regional Managers will lean on you for your insight.Youll get a starting salary of up to c£60,000. Theres also a bonus (c10% of salary) plus a lengthy list of benefits (health cover, DIS, Income Protection etc.). Theres 26 days holiday (1 of which is your birthday) but you can buy/sell/accrue holidays too(always a good sign of a genuinely empathetic, flexible work environment). You can be based from home or from one of their offices. There will be some national travel but the onus is on some.If youre in the South East it would be helpful as youll be close to the Head of T&C. But its a nice to have not a pre-requisite.HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:Youll be level 4 qualified and have experience in T&C in a wealth/financial planning environment. You might also be in compliance but want to spend more time working with planners. It isnt fixed what the successful applicant looks like after all. This is a positive, energetic work environment where hiring is based on talent/potential. Youll enjoy working with such advisers and have a proven track record of developing them.If youve been involved in the acquisitions thats great, but its not a pre-requisite. Its more important that youre technically sound and can help get the best out of advisers. ------------------------------------------------------------------Click apply or if you dont have an up to date CV send us a way of contacting you.
