Job Description

SharePoint Support OfficerRef: DEC20206067Location: FlexibleSalary: £23,966 - £26,808 Per AnnumBenefits: Pension, Life Assurance, Annual LeaveDuration: 6 Month ContractSaving nature involves large amounts of information and it is vital that it is kept secure and properly organised.The RSPB is looking for an experienced SharePoint user or power user to support its transition to SharePoint Online and expand its use of Microsoft365.Youll be a key part of the team providing support and guidance to people throughout the whole organisation to make the shift to SharePoint Online. You’ll be introducing people to the new capabilities of SharePoint Online and supporting them in their use of associated applications such as Lists, PowerApps, Power Automate, OneDrive, Teams, etc. You will be working with the latest Microsoft technology and, as the products continue to evolve, youll have the opportunity to keep learning and updating these skills.Key Result Areas include

  • Apply legal, regulatory, organisational policy & frameworks and best practice standards within a specialism/discipline and provide assistance across the department to apply these as needed.
  • Provide support for continuous improvement approaches/roadmaps developed within a specific context and occasionally assist in the generation of innovative ideas that build upon and improve existing approaches relevant to the specialism/discipline.
  • Support employee & volunteers across the organisation in the application, techniques and use of digital systems/channels/methodologies to enhance users experience and deliver business objectives.
  • Assist the teams in the application of standards/guidance in line with best practice and industry trends to deliver plans and roadmaps within a specialism/discipline.
  • Responsible for ensuring procedures/standards/plans are implemented across specialism/discipline.
  • Prioritise and deliver own work in line with the needs of a discipline or specialism.
  • Key skills required include
  • An understanding of SharePoint’s permission model and options for sharing files
  • Thorough knowledge of document libraries, content types, site columns, managed terms, custom lists and views
  • Able to edit pages in modern SharePoint sites using a range of web parts
  • Able to use PowerApps to modify the New, Edit and View forms
  • Able to Power Automate to create event-driven flows
  • Basic understanding of relevant legal requirements, organisational policies and procedures relative to the role, and the quality outputs and standards required.
  • Initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
  • Proficient user of specialist software packages.
  • Basic analytical and problem solving capability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing to ensure effective reporting and customer service.
  • Ability to plan or schedule own work-days, and to respond to changing pressures or requirements.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
