Job Description

Quality EngineerJob RoleOur client based in Sandy are currently looking for an ambitious, experienced Quality Engineer to join their experienced and knowledgeable team on a permanent basis.Maintaining compliance with ISO9001, providing updates as required and ensuring that internalaudits are satisfactorily completed. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to make a genuine difference to a market leading Class manufacturing facility.Job Responsibilities

  • Manage ISO9001 QMS system
  • Champion quality throughout the business
  • Work with external audit teams on verification and legal compliance
  • Review current procedures to ensure they meet current guidelines
  • Use initiative and make sound judgements in work methods and interpreting goals
  • Work independently and in teams with infrequent supervision
  • Lead Quality reviews and drive cost out of the business through NCRs, improved processes and supplier qualification
  • Set KPIs that provide good monitoring and feedback of both own area and other functions
  • Work with internal teams to improve quality or enhance customer satisfaction
  • Maintenance of calibration systems
  • Familiarisation with ATEX qualification
  • Hands-on inspection of both incoming goods and assist with machine sign-off/inspection
Person Specification
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail, clear and concise in both written and oral dialogue
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to utilise standard hand-held measuring tools to inspect parts
  • Computer literacy - MS suite plus ERP knowledge - maintenance of databases
  • HNC/HND in Quality or Engineering
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, be able to conduct RCA and put preventative actions in place
  • "Right-First-Time" methodology
  • Preparation/setting and monitoring of company standards
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Drive to ensure quality is at the forefront of the business
  • Professional Registration - CQI etc.
  • Driving License to enable visits to suppliers
Hours and Pay
  • Salary £30-£35k pa DOE
  • Hours 39/week (days), early finish on Friday
