Job Description

Welder FabricatorCAMBRIDGESHIREUP to £35,00 Basic Plus OvertimeAre you a passionate TIG or MIG Welder, looking for an exciting new roleCoulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a TIG or MIG Welder to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Bedfordshire for either the LD or HD departmentLD and HD fabricator welders lay out and fabricate primarily stainless steel metal assemblies and weldments, ranging from small components to large complex parts and stell work.The company are a well-established Engineering firm who are a leader in the Food Conveying systems industry making full food cycle machinery and the steelwork it sits upon.Principle Responsibilities for the TIG and MIG Welders:-

  • Reading engineering drawings
  • Reading, understanding, and implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Checking dimensions and thicknesses
  • TIG or MIG Welding Steel between 2mm and 20mm into a wide range of structures, producing strong, clean welds suitable for machinery to be used in the food industry
  • Reworking and/or repairing welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment
  • Cutting and grinding metal
  • Cleaning tools, equipment and work areas
Person specification:-
  • Fabricator welder apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Experience of Tig or MIG Welding
  • Experience of use of lifting equipment
  • Manual handling training
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Proactive approach to safety
  • Use of hand tools
