Job Description

Housing Management Worker |Sandy | 37 hours per week | £20,151 per annum, paid monthlyOur client was born out of heartfelt concern for homeless people, starting as a soup kitchen in 1974 to support vulnerable people in Bedford - today the organisation has grown to provide accommodation and support to ensure individuals have the opportunityto progress towards a life free from homelessness.Shifts are between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00 totalling 37 hours per week, including weekends on a rota.What can you expect in return

  • Use of a car is necessary due to visiting a number of properties across Huntingdon
  • Comprehensive free training sessions are held at our dedicated Training Centre in Bedford, underpinning on the job instruction
  • A satisfactory Enhanced Vulnerable Adults DBS check is required (cost met by the Trust)

Are you the right person for the job
  • Experienced in social care and/or working with vulnerable adults
  • Ideally you will have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social care, although full training will be provided for the right person
What will your role look like
  • You will be a team member supporting the Senior Housing Management Worker to ensure that housing services are adequately managed, and the accommodation is secure, and with an eye for detail to ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained and high standardreports are produced on time
  • Working directly with residents to ensure their tenancies are maintained, and personal development plans are in place; making arrangements for the subsequent resettlement of residents, you will need to be an excellent communicator, methodological administratorand an everyday user of ICT
  • Working in a small professional team you will be expected to have a flexible approach to work
