Job Description

Operations ManagerWe are seeking a strong and experienced Operations Manager for our prestigious client in the East Kent area. You will have excellent staff management and organisational skills, as well as being someone who will muck-in and enjoy being hands-on.Salary is £36-38,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, and comes with a performance related bonus scheme, eligible after six months successful completion of probation. This is a full-time and permanent position, working 40 hours per week, which willinclude at least one weekend day each week, if not two - salary reflects this requirement. Any weekend days worked can be taken as days off Monday to Friday.Duties include, but arent limited to:

  • Overseeing operations - you will be responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, including ensuring facilities, services, and activities meet high-quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Staff management - managing a team of staff members, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Budgeting and financial management - you will be adept at understanding and reading figures, as will work on the annual budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-cutting measures where necessary, as well as generating revenue streams.
  • Facilities, estates and infrastructure management - ensure facilities, including buildings, amenities, and equipment are well maintained and in good working condition, overseeing maintenance schedules, repairs, and renovations.
  • Customer service improvement - constantly seek opportunities to enhance the visitor experience, implement training programs and processes.
  • Health and safety compliance - manage risk assessments, implement safety measures, and coordinate emergency procedures.
  • Environmental conservation - work towards environmental goals, develop and implement sustainability initiatives, waste management programs, and ecological projects in line with the conservation objectives.
  • Strategic planning - provide input to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for growth and development, providing input and recommendations.
