Job Description

Production Scheduler| Redcar & Cleveland | Full Time| £28,000-£33,000 depending on experienceEstablished in 1963, our client is one of Redcar & Clevelands biggest privately owned employers. They are an award-winning, heavy engineering subcontractor with one of the largest machining capacities in the UK. The company offers subcontract machining,mechanical engineering and testing services to a number of Industries including Defence, Renewables, Energy & Rail.The successful candidate will be expected to work from 8.00 am-4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00 am-2.00 pm on Fridays with lunch from 12:00-12:30 (MonThurs). Are you the right person for the job
  • A strong technical administrator with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills.
  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing organisation would be advantageous.
  • Be able to communicate in a warm professional manner with a range of clients.
  • Can liaise with production personnel and be comfortable in a workshop environment.
What will your role as a Production Scheduler look like
  • Liaise with Sales and Clients to establish material due dates, and input in MRP system
  • Give delivery schedule details in Contract Review meetings
  • Prepare and issue Goods Inwards information
  • Establish delivery dates
  • Confirm delivery dates to clients, work with sales team to share updates on status inc. photos
  • Share booked capacity on weekly basis and share no. hrs available on each work-centre
  • Communicate required completion dates to Works Management team
  • Give resource requirement information to Works Management (i.e. assist with overtime forecast, need for additional resource etc)
  • Organise route cards to be held ready for next ops
  • Answer enquiries for available capacity (decisions with team)
  • Record documents for end of contract, process ECNs (with others)
  • Arrange deliveries/collections for completed items
