Job Description

Our client an established manufacturing business making a range of products for market leading brands are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Technician(Elec Bias) to join their expanding team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine maintenance.
  • Assist improvement projects to production plant, buildings and services.
  • Fault finding.
  • Repair work.
  • Installation work.
  • Assist with maintenance of production machinery and factory services.
  • Be proactive in establishing a safe working environment by ensuring that Health & Safety legislation is adhered to and that safe working practices are always used.
    • Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault diagnosis skills on industrial electrical control systems.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC variable speed drive systems.
  • 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations trained preferred but not essential.
  • Must have an understanding of other engineering trades as this is a multi-skill role.
  • An analytical and methodical approach to problem solving is required.
  • Experience of electrical installation work.
    • Shifts(Days):
  • Monday - 07.00 - 15.30
  • Tuesday - 07.00 - 14.30
  • Wednesday - 07.00 - 14.30
  • Thursday - 07.00 - 14.30
  • Friday - 07.00 - 12.00
    • 36 hrs + any overtime required.The shift role is to cover when the shift Technicians are unavailable for duty - the day shift technicians share this short fall they are required to work however this will not be for the first 6 months depending on experience.
  • Tuesday 07.00 - 19.00 hrs days & nights rotating
  • Wednesday 07.00 - 19.00 hrs days & nights rotating
  • Thursday 07.00 - 19.00 hrs days & nights rotating
    • 36 hrs + any overtime required plus shift pay of 25% allowance if the role goes on to shifts.The Package:
  • £26,748 per annum basic plus OTE, Overtime, shift cover & enhanced rate etc.
  • 36 hours per week, anything over that classed as overtime.
