Job Description

Talent Agility is working with a leading Fire & Security company operating across UK. Our client specialises in active fire and security solutions, offering an unparalleled level of knowledge & service in this sector.Our client is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to be responsible for our fleet of vehicles in which is in excess of 500 company vehicles.Duties will include:

  • Working closely with key stakeholders across the Group to develop strategies for improved cost efficiency with data produced via our telematics device.
  • Manage our providers on vehicle racking/livery/telematic devices coupled with dash cams to ensure our fleet is fit for purpose pre-delivery and compliant
  • Ensure our vehicles are always ready and available to meet orders by scheduling and monitoring current trends in the industry, to enable annual forecasts.
  • Marlowe provides our company car employees via a key leasing provider you will liaise with them on a regular basis to ensure our employees have an agreed selection of vehicles on offer and the vehicles are always on the road.
  • Ensuring that the fleet of vehicles is operating in accordance with legislation and regulations
  • Communicating with Insurance Brokers and organizing the appropriate insurance for Drivers and vehicles
  • Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies and processes regarding fleet operations
  • Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimize downtime
  • Monitoring Driver behavior and taking relevant action where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of vehicle inspections and services ensuring that all vehicles are properly registered; carry out inspections on a regular basis.
Location: SalfordSalary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annumExperience and Knowledge required:
  • Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and coordinating abilities
  • Must possess good leadership qualities
  • Must be proactive and be able to pay keen attention to the smallest of details
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to motivate the drivers to always ensure their full co-operation
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and meet/beat deadlines
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of computer applications
  • Any relevant certification will be an advantage
