Job Description

Title: Business Development ExecutiveSector: O&M and Standby GeneratorLocation: Salford Quays, ManchesterSalary: £18,000 -£24,000 + BonusReport:Business Development DirectorThe CompanyOur client is one of the world’s leading independent power generation experts, specialising in landfill gas and biogas to energy projects in the UK, Europe, South Africa and Mexico.The RoleA Sales executive who will be responsible for the UK-wide pre-sales and lead generation of O&M services and genset sales. Importantly, the role will include finding new market opportunities and securing commercial appointments. You will report directly to the Business Development Director and work alongside the technical and finance teams to generate compelling businesses cases for flexible energy solutions and to work to secure such opportunities for our client.You will be technologically and commercially savvy and will be responsible for:·Managing customer relationships, both new and existing.·Development of leads - mostly phone based·Representing the business at events·Delivering core pre-sales KPIs·Identifying key decision makers to approach·Engaging with previous client relationships·Building client pipeline·Managing existing relationships with legacy customers where appropriate;·Identifying and accessing new market opportunities;·Keeping up to date with technical and regulatory requirements; and·Representing our client at marketing and industry events - when requiredThe Person: experience and competenciesThe successful candidate will have:·Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a range of clients at different corporate levels;·Possess strong ability to turn cold calls and previous relationships into sales opportunities;·Ownership the client relationship related to energy and O&M solutions - training provided·To adhere to a strong and strict code of professional and ethical conduct;·Excellent organisational skills;·A dynamic personality, be self-driven and highly motivated to succeed.The Opportunity·This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of an exciting new area for a very well established and successful business.·You will have the freedom to create new opportunities and to help shape the energy business for our client.·The energy storage and decentralisation sector is set for enormous growth in the coming years for both in front of and behind the meter opportunities and our client is exceptionally well placed to take advantage of this.Benefits£18,000 to £24,000 + CommissionContributory Pension25 Days Holiday (26 after 5 years service) + BH’sDress Down FridaysFree on site parking.Annual Flexible Benefits to buy or sell 5 days annual leaveIf you would like to know more about this role or you are interested please apply or call Antony at Proactive Personnel Manchester Required skills
