SalfordRefugee Support Worker (DVA) Domestic Violence and Abuse for 3 months£16.00 per hour - UmbrellaAre you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of women and children who have suffered from domestic abuse Salford is seeking a temporary Refugee Support Worker (DVA) Domestic Violence and Abuse to join theirteam and provide vital support to those in need.As a Refugee Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in receiving and assisting women and children who have experienced physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of residents, assessing risk factors,and liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to provide the most appropriate help available. Additionally, you will be involved in providing housing support plans, promoting empowerment, and facilitating joint working with other agencies.This role offers a competitive rate of £16.00 per hour (through umbrella), providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while also earning a competitive wage. You will have the chance to work as part of a dedicated team, attend team meetings,and cover for other workers when necessary. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to operate financial systems, oversee refuge security, and maintain an awareness of relevant statutory legislation and local procedures.To excel in this role, you will need to have up-to-date knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision and use your own initiative.
