Job Description

Job Title: MFL TeacherLocation: Tameside, Greater Manchester, UKSalary: £150+ per day.We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher to join us in supporting schools in Tameside and surrounding areas. As an MFL Teacher, you will inspire students to explore and appreciate foreign languages and cultures, fosteringtheir linguistic proficiency and intercultural competence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum, incorporating a variety of teaching methodologies and resources to develop students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the targetlanguage(s).
  • Cultural Exploration: Introduce students to the cultural aspects of the target language(s) through authentic materials, literature, and multimedia resources, fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures and promoting global citisenship.
  • Language Proficiency: Facilitate the development of students linguistic proficiency, providing opportunities for authentic communication and interaction in the target language(s) both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals in MFL.
  • Differentiation: Differentiate instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students, providing additional support and extension opportunities as necessary to ensure all learners are challenged and supported to reach their full potential in MFL.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and interdisciplinary learning opportunities, as well as contributing to departmental initiatives and the wider school community.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialisation in MFL.
  • Relevant degree in one or more foreign languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) or related field.
  • Previous experience teaching MFL at the secondary level is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for MFL education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to promoting language learning and intercultural understanding.
