Job Description

Are you a KS2 specialist looking to support pupils in Salford with achieve the best possible outcomes Have you got a creative and fun approach that inspires a love for learning Contact us today!Tradewind are working closely with a lovely two form entry Salford school with an excellent reputation withing the local community. The Senior leadership team are looking for a knowledgeable KS2 teacher to provide intervention support to the pupils most affected by school closures. You will be required to plan and deliver booster sessions to select KS2 pupils. You will be required every morning 5 days per week from April 2021 until the end of the academic year with potential to extend into the next academic year.The schools approach to learning ensures that teachers provide opportunities for pupils to develop academically, socially and physically. Within the classroom environment, children are encouraged to work independently and voice their thoughts, opinions and emotions during whole class activities. Families are also actively encouraged to support the childrens learning with numerous whole school events and an open door policy, allowing parents and carers to consolidate learning at home.As the Intervention support teacher, you will need to work closely with the class teachers to ensure the group intervention plans that correspond with in-class learning where possible.Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Plan effective and engaging lessons to small groups of children
  • Demonstrate a secure knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum, age related expectations and transitions through this primary phase of learning
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on mutual respect
  • Utilise creative approaches that inspire a love for learning
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to review, report and reflect on daily practice and report regularly to class teachers to feedback on individual pupil progress
  • Analyse data in relation to targets set and adjust planning/strategies as necessary.
