Our client is now looking for someone to fill a new imports coordinator role due to growth of the company. A young dynamic company, with our warehouse located in Agecroft, working with brands such as Bench, Farah and Von Dutch, across all clothing categories.They are is a rapidly expanding clothing importer who now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Import / Shipping Coordinator to join their Manchester based team, in Salford Familiar with all aspects of import supply chain activities, including supplier bookings with freight forwarders being monitored, liaising with Merchandisers to ensure timely arrival. Ensuring all the correct import documents are in place for customs clearance, as well as bills of lading being to hand for prompt release & container delivery. Familiar with bonded-warehouse procedures, including processing and utilizing the Customs approved in-house software system.Key Responsibilities* Checking bookings with agents.* Making sure shipments are booking on time and ship on time.* Checking commodity codes are correct.* Checking container intake* Clearance documents* Liaising with the Accounts Team on payments.* Creating GIWs - Good Inwards Documents* Answering any Forwarder queries* Imports handling - Liaising with the Suppliers and Freight Forwarders to ensure that shipments are delivered as per the Schedule.* Liaising with merchandisers on shipments and bookings* Bonded warehouse* Customs declarations both on intake and dispatchSkills Required:* Importer and shipping experience* Microsoft Navision and Microsoft office experience* Good customer care skills* Good written and verbal English* Accuracy and attention to detail* Good organisational skills* Good computer and keyboard skills* An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.* An ability to work independently and as a team.* Good administrative skills Ability to work with minimum supervision, multi-task and be flexible.* Quick to learn.In return our client offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to progress in a thriving business.
