Heyland Recruitment have been exclusively engaged by this pan European, niche manufacturing and retail business based in Salford as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their UK office on a reduced working week basis, c30 hours.As part of a small but busy team, you will be responsible for a large element of the monthly accounts preparation and you will be responsible for providing the Finance Director with accurate and timely financial information.Key responsibilities;Customer ledger· New customer set up and master data· Upload/input sales invoices to customer online portals· Post and allocate cash receipts· Post and allocate debit notes/invoices for rebates and promotions etc.· Raise queries on amounts received with finance director· Post credit card and PayPal receipts in respect of sales to individual consumers.· Assist with credit control as necessaryVendor ledger· Manage new vendor set up and master data· Code and post all invoices, matching to purchase orders and goods received documentation where appropriate· Post price and exchange differences arising on invoices· Ensure all invoices are approved by appropriate manager· Post and allocate payments to vendors· Assist in resolution of vendor queriesMonth end· Post journals prepared by finance director for accruals, prepayments, and other items· Post expense and credit card claims prepared by individual employees· Post sundry payments including payroll· Prepare bank and other control account reconciliationsRequired Attributes Experience· Previous experience in a busy accounts role· Able to work autonomously and manage own workload· AAT qualified or qualified by experience· Previous SAP experience ideal but not essential· Good Excel Skills Required skills
