Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with experience in Finance Administration to join a leading and expanding company in the Manufacturing and Production industry based in Salford Quays. This is an ideal role for a proactive individual whothrives on taking ownership of various elements within the finance function, you will be able to progress into other areas of the finance department if you perform well, the opportunities are endless for the right candidate!Location: Salford Quays, ManchesterContract: 6 month fixed-term (with the view to go permanent in the Finance team)Hybrid working: 2 days a week in the officeResponsibilities:

  • Evaluate customer credit profiles, considering factors such as payment history, credit limits, and industry standards.
  • Make informed decisions regarding credit approvals and limits.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish favourable payment terms.
  • Proactively communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and prevent overdue accounts.
  • Chase outstanding invoices through various channels (phone, email, and letters).
  • Escalate collection efforts when necessary, while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
  • Update customer accounts, payment schedules, and communication logs.
  • Regularly liaise with clients, customers, and internal teams.
  • Provide timely updates on payment statuses and resolve any queries.
Skills and Experience:
  • Self-motivated and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Accounting and Finance Graduate
  • An ability to work to deadlines and targets.
  • An ability to communicate comfortably with people at all levels.
  • Proven interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working with people and in teams.
  • An ability to demonstrate customer led thinking.
