Job Description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Manchester CTJ1039Salary Depending on skills and experience Permanent This is a fantastic chance for someone with a senior background in Mechanical Engineering to join an extremely successful and reputable multi-disciplinary consultancy in their Manchester office. Our client has a network of offices around the UK and are lookingto expand their team by bringing in a Mechanical Design Engineer to manage a team of junior engineers and also assist on projects within the Commercial, Residential and Leisure sectors.The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BEng (Hons) degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
  • The ability to use their own initiative and to work under pressure
  • An excellent ability to write their own reports
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • The ability to manage their time effectively
  • Experience in Microsoft office tools
  • Have used Cymap, ProDesign Software (Amtech), Dailux/Relux, Cyspace, Revit/Magi CAD
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with projects by providing technical support and advice
  • Use design knowledge to ensure production of high-quality drawings
  • Design of HVAC systems
  • Prepare specifications, schedules, drawings, and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA work stages
  • Writing of specifications
  • Prepare designs for the full range of Building Services
  • Maintain client relationships and securing of repeat business
  • Financially manage and report projects you are responsible for
