Job Description

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customs Coordinator based in Sale working for a worldwide freight forwarding company. With over 70 offices, 200 agents covering 5 continents we offer local expertise with global experiencecatering to each customers specific transportation and logistics needs.This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days home. Your role of Senior Customs Coordinator to handle import customs clearances. In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:- Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients- Handling Sea / Air and Road freight customs clearances.- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import customs declarations- Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT- Manage the release of consignments at port- All aspects of CDS & Customs Warehousing- Manage post clearance actionApplying candidates will possess:- Experience from working for a freight forwarder in a Customs/ imports role- A broad understanding of the overall customs process- Knowledge of Import Clearance systems, ideally CDS but any imports clearance skills are welcome Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/Boxtop - Extensive knowledge of the customs tariff- Excellent communication skills- Strong attention to detail- Exceptional IT skills- Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual- Strong organisational & time management skillsBenefits Salary £30,000 to £33,000 Flexibility for the right candidate Pension 23 days holiday rising with length of serviceHybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days from homeRequired skills
