Job Description

  • Support the IT Manager to maintain and develop all the companys IT hardware, software and telephone systems.

  • Client DetailsFantastic opportunity for an IT Support Technician to become an SME across company hardware, software and telephone systems. You will develop skills across 1st Line Support and work alongside the IT manager and key stakeholders in the UK and America.DescriptionWhat youll be doing...Key responsibilities include:
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve and fix and resolve IT issues efficiently and effectively
  • Provide good customer service to our user base through telephone, email and remote communications
  • Ensure IT Support processes are followed and documented
  • Ensure that the asset database is maintained at all times
  • Responsible for installing authorised software on desktops/laptops and Servers as required
  • Resolving problems with networks, peripherals and other computer systems
  • Diagnosing system errors and other issues
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • To perform any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder

  • Strong foundation in Computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access databases and Microsoft VBA
  • knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (inc Windows for Servers)
  • Knowledge of IT Security, Firewalls and Anti-Virus
  • Experience configuring a VOIP telephone system
  • Keen to learn and develop knowledge
  • A technical, logical thought process
  • Problem-solving skills
  • An ability to stick to strict deadlines
  • An ability to prioritise
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Able to work well with others, with flexible attitude to support the team
