Job Description

LOCATION : SOUTH CHESHIRESALARY: UP TO 26,500Our client is an established firm of Pension Administrators based in South Manchester who are now looking to recruit an additional Administrator to join their established and expanding teamAs a dedicated member of the SIPP administration team the successful Candidate will undertake day-to-day administration work processing requests with vigilance and caution whilst going the extra mile. You will support the client and adviser needs with thehighest professional standards and ensure all aspects of the role are met by following our brand and company guidelines.This role primarily sits within the Retirements and Payments Administration Team for the SIPP and SSAS products, however Candidate will also need to assist in other aspects of SIPP and SSAS administration including those holding commercial properties.This role involves dealing with various internal teams and departments but importantly with external entities such as financial advisers, surveyors, lenders, and solicitors on a regular basis.It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a change and who has 18 months + experience working in the pensions industry. You will be diligent and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. Those who have strong technical knowledgeand experience in the pensions industry are urged to apply.Main responsibilities of the role:As a member of the team, you will be expected to:" Process new drawdown and transfer out requests " Have timely communication with the advisers and members to notify them of any issues with the members request " Ensure all requests are tracked till completion " Perform necessary technical calculations" Process investment withdrawals for one off and regular payments on time for payments to the members on time " Process member benefit payroll and use Sage Payroll to calculate tax" Use HMRC online services to process income tax " Other than retirements and payments, at times administer other aspects of SIPP and SSAS workload including SIPPs holding portfolios of properties." Build relationships with our advisers and clients and deliver exceptional communication and service" Share knowledge and support less experienced members of the teamKey skills:Ability to carry out the following duties for SIPPs and SSASs with minimal supervision:" Fluent and positive written and verbal communication outcome with internal as well as external entities" Excellent numerical and customer services skills" Understand Sage payroll, any prior experience will be an added advantage" If required be able to administer property related transactions e.g. borrowing calculations, VAT registration and returns, leases etc" Process contributions including identifying payments over the AA" Understand pension rules and be able to perform drawdown calculations, bereavement benefit calculations and divorce calculations" Be able to understand investment transactions including identifying non-standard investments" Aptitude to learn and adapt new skills, processes, systems and tasks " Be able to use key productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook efficiently" Work with diligence in a timely manner and at times go the extra mile to achieve a positive outcome" Ability to self-organise and prioritise the workload, track and see tasks through to completion while making sure deadlines are met" Work independently or as part of a team maintaining confidentialityNJR 14356
