Role: AccountantContract: 6 months contract Salary: £competitive per annum Location: Sale, South Manchester & working from home (hybrid) This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work for a leading organisation based in Sale, South Manchester. Responsibilities:* Experience of both financial and management accounts * Preparation and posting of accrual journals, monthly closing journals * Processing of ad-hoc general journals * Accurate and timely reporting to the business * Nominal ledger reconciliations * Preparation of monthly accounts to profit and loss and balance sheet * Balance sheet reconciliations * Reconciliation of control accounts - investigation/clearing of unreconciled items * Assisting with the consolidation of accounts and report pack * Assisting with audit procedures and processes and strategic initiatives Ideal experience required for this role: Part or fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Accountant Management and Financial Accountancy experience Ability to liaise with people at all levels within the businessOrganized and methodical in approach with keen attention to detailsAbility to prioritise workloads, works well both autonomously and as part of a teamStrong communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced / agile environment Excellent IT systems knowledge and experience - Advanced in ExcelWorking knowledge of Access, Dimensions accounting systems, Tempest and Fieldglass is desirable Exposure to/experience of working with SOX or other compliance procedures Please apply without delay as there is a deadline with this role.
