Job Description

Overview:Working as part of a European development team, you will be directly involved in the development of our in-house proprietary platform, responsible for building out the Front End of the UK based websites. For this role, you will have strong Front-End skillsincluding Javascript, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS experience, C++, UI/UX skills and be comfortable working with Subversion.Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and testing of new site features, landing pages and marketing pages
  • Continual improvement of the website interface
  • Implement responsible web design principles to ensure the website renders well across multiple devices
  • Assist in the development of applications and features for the website and internal functions
  • Optimising web pages for maximum speed and stability
  • Building reusable code for future use
  • Ensure all code meets industry standards, is valid, is structured properly, and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems
  • Marketing Campaign Management: Setup of sale elements, discount codes
  • Ensure the website complies with W3G Accessibility Guidelines
  • Collaborating with the wider ecommerce team to transform concepts into web pages
  • Support all internal teams with regards to their own relevant sections of the company
  • General ad-hoc development tasks (including the internal intranet site, careers page) and other Web based projects
You will need:
  • Demonstrable web development experience
  • JavaScript code using frameworks such as JQuery, JavaScript coding without using frameworks Frontend coding using HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of PHP & MySQL preferred
  • Experience with using Version Control Tools (Subversion) in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Understanding of Testing tools and Principles
