Job Description

Commissioning Technician Competitive Salary- RutherglenThe RoleDo you possess previous experience in the construction industry and installing fire and security systems Are you Health and Safety trained If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.SPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking to appoint a Commissioning Technician to assist the Project Manager in delivering a fully working/compliant system in line specification & Britishstandards.Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of a Commissioning Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Commissioning each system in line with British Standards and UK codes of practice.
  • Ensure the effective management and execution of Company policies and procedures, which include Health and Safety and Quality Assurance in the delivery of both public sector and construction projects.
  • Liaison with subcontractor, to confirm that they are complying with the Companys policies and procedures, which include but are not limited to Health & Safety/ Quality Assurance/ compliance with British Standards
  • Liaise with the design team/ project manager for technical support to ensure that the specified equipment is fit for purpose and meeting the clients expectations.
  • Other duties as directed by the project manager.
The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Commissioning Technician are:
  • Fire and Security Apprenticeship.
  • Valid ECS/ CSCS Card holder.
  • PC Literate with Microsoft Word & Excel experience.
  • Experience in the construction environment.
  • Experience in installing fire and security systems.
  • 5-10 years Industry experience (Desirable).
  • Previous commissioning experience (Desirable).
  • Experience in IT & networking (Desirable).
