Rusthall Lodge - Maintenance officer Key purposeSupport the Management team to meet the needs and expectations of our residents, keeping the premises maintained to a very high standard of repair and presentation through ongoing maintenance services in accordance with current best practices, policy and procedures, all agreed standards, current legislative requirements and relevant regulations. Deliver maintenance of the facility and grounds at Rusthall Lodge to ensure that customers experience a high quality care setting.

Provide a high quality, timely maintenance service to Rusthall Lodge Care Home

Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required with adherence to an agreedout of hours callout rota.

Monitor the correct operation of plant, building services, equipment and tools

Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations,

To comply with all regulations regarding the Health & Safety Policy and procedures and to be aware of safety hazards at Rusthall Lodge Care Home.

Be aware of any risk assessments and follow method statements or safe systems of work including manual handling and lifting procedures.

Conduct all statutory testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, hot and cold-water temperatures including Legionella checks, portable appliance testing (PAT)

Conduct visual inspections of the ventilation, cooling and air-conditioning equipment

Conduct visual inspections of the gas supply and equipment

inspections of the foul and surface water drainage, including all guttering, downpipes, soil vent pipes, above and below ground drainage

Conduct inspections of the internal and external finishes of the building
