Speech and Language Learning Mentor- Ruislip- Primary Mainstream School- ASAP Start- £75-£95pd

Do you have experience working with students who have deficits in their speech and language such as stutters, stammers or non-verbal studentsAre you passionate about working in educationIf so, this may be the ideal role for you.About the role- Speech and Language Learning MentorYou will be working within the schools specialist provision for students with speech and language communication needs. You will be working with students aged 3-11 who have an EHCP statement that requires early intervention for speech and language in orderto help them engage with their lessons, peers and the general population. You will assist students within the mainstream class daily as well as being involved in individual and small group sessions with the schools speech and language therapists and recordweekly progress of students. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience working with students with speech and language needs (I.e. students with Autism or other conditions that affect their ability to verbalise or communicate).About the schoolThis is a primary school based in Ruislip, Hillingdon for students within mainstream education aged 3-11 years old. The school has its own resource provision for students within the school who struggle with their speech and language communication abilities.Children are supported and included within the mainstream class but have additional specialist language teaching and weekly speech and language therapy from a therapist based at the school.
