We run our business by these values and they are reflected in all of our roles but particularly newly created roles like our Yard Controller.Job purpose:This exciting new role will be responsible for keeping the Yard Management System up to date and accurate. You will be expected to carry out Yard Checks, identify trailers and check contents, ensuring this is reflected in the YMS. You will oversee our custom-built Yard, including 180 Dock doors and 450 plus parking bays.About the Role:Whilst on shift you will be responsible for managing the entry and exit gatehouse teams and ensuring that the Hub yard is ran to its optimum ensuring that high-priority freight is prioritised appropriately, and the client teams are updated.You must be an experienced people manager and be comfortable analysing data and creating reports on required aspects of the business whilst responding and resolving any queries from Client Managers.You will support the Hub, Systems & Yard Manager with all H&S, hygiene and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work in your areas whilst promoting and driving consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards.Please note this role will be predominantly an afternoon shift (2pm-10pm but may include a morning or night shift when required.Experience/Qualifications:
