The ESN Network Integration Team is responsible for the successful integration of the mobile device management solution within the ESN Programme. The SIMOTA Integration Specialist will work within the ESN Integration team working collaboratively with the UK Home Office and EE to deliver the SIM management solution. The SIMOTA Specialist is required to work with a multi-discipline, multi-site programme team with responsibility for the SIM management solution (SIMOTA). Job Description Please Note: This Role is a FTC for 9 Months (Employed)The SIMOTA Specialist is required to work with a multi-discipline, multi-site programme team with responsibility for the SIM management solution (SIMOTA).The role holder will manage the technical aspects of configuration, integration and delivery of the solution, working closely with 3rd Party SIMOTA provider and ESN Design architects. The role will report to the OSS Workstream Lead. Stakeholder engagement and close working relationships with:

  • Motorola Solutions and 3rd Party SIMOTA supplier Project Managers
  • SIMOTA design architects
  • Motorola Solutions infrastructure, devices & software design teams
  • Customer
  • The key responsibilities of the SIMOTA Integration Specialist include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the primary technical integration lead and support to Design architect for SIMOTA, including processes, configuration, technical components, interfaces and security
  • Work with the OSS/BSS integration teams to manage any impact and interfaces towards OSS/BSS solutions
  • Work with 3rd Part Suppliers to integrate between the SIMOTA solution and the 3rd Party Supplier interfaces
  • Lead the implementation of SIMOTA: installation, configuration and support testing.
  • Document the low level design, solution description, identify and create any customer facing supporting information
  • Translate customer requirements agreed by Solution Architect group into platform and client configuration
  • Support the solution architect with the impact assessment of any required new feature requests
  • Analyse and advise on new software versions and upgrade paths.
  • Basic Requirements The following skills are considered highly desirable:
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management including ITIL standards and service management tools
  • Experience of providing administrator and end user training
  • Understanding of Enterprise IT Security including an awareness of UK NCSC policies
  • Experience in the design and deployment of on premise solutions
  • In-depth understanding of SIM/SIMOTA architectures and capabilities with experience of working with multiple SIM/SIMOTA Suppliers
  • Experience in SIMOTA solutions and in Opencode applications would be an advantage.
  • Experience in IT Networks, Active Directory and other Enterprise IT systems
  • Good knowledge of IT security, communication and user authentication
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Good communication skills and confidence to present solutions to potential customers
  • Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. The candidate will ideally already hold a current UK Security Clearance, or be willing to undergo Security vetting, following a Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) check.We are an equal opportunities employer.
