Job Description

This permanent Assistant Finance Manager role (Assistant Management Accountant) for this global Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain business in Rugby will take ownership of your own site and you will manage the full P+L with support from the FinanceManager. You will be responsible for all elements of month end, reporting, budgeting and also gain exposure in business partnering. They are the leader in their field and a synonymous name renowned across the name in the field of distribution.DescriptionThe Assistant Finance Manager (Assistant Management Accountant) role in Rugby (hybrid working 2 days office, 3 days from home) will involve

  • Full management of a site with a turnover of circa £8m with support from the Finance Manager
  • Month end accounting and weekly finance reporting with support from the Finance Manager
  • Business partnering exposure working with operational management to discuss budgets and forecasting
  • Supporting other finance colleagues in their daily tasks including timely sales and purchasing
  • Ensuring adherence to accounting rules, procedures and timescales
  • Analysis of financial data and production of management accounting information for business including benefits tracking
  • Continuous review of customer debt and cash allocation and escalate as necessary
  • Provide reports as and when requested
  • Support Operational teams in provision of ad hoc reports
  • Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
ProfileTo be successful in this Assistant Finance Manager role the ideal candidate will need to possess exposure across the month end accounting cycle. You will need to be confident in communicating with stakeholders and providing financial information both verballyand in writing / presenting. You will ideally be studying towards a professional qualification and study support will be provided.
