Job Description

Join us on the Journey... We have an excellent opportunities forEducation Driversbased at Frankley. In this role you will be transporting school children with mobility difficulties to education establishments under contract to the Local Authority.What youll do

  • Driving a mini bus to a scheduled timetable.
  • Transporting passengers safely from and to their homes and educational establishment.
  • Carrying out routine vechicle checks.
  • Ensuring that the vehicle is clean and tidy.
  • Operating specialised passenger-handling equipment.
  • Attending minor repairs.
  • Maintaining radio contact with base and a close liaison with the education establishment.
  • Reporting vehicle defects.
It is vitally important that passengers are dealt with in a sympathetic and friendly manner, bearing in mind the need to probide smooth and efficient service at all times.You will need to develop a working relationship to build a strong supportive team that you will be liaising with on a daily basis.What you will need...
  • Good driving standards, previous mini bus experience would be an advantage.
  • Friendly, approachable attitude, understanding of needs of children who have a disability.
  • Working in a logical and systemactic manner, who is comfortable following operational systems.
  • Have an adaptable and flexible attitude to work.
  • Excellent record of attendance and dependability is essential.
