Job Description

Counted recruitment are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a great service business based in Rubery. The role will see you play a crucial part in a large finance team.Main duties of this Assistant Accountant role include:

  • Calculate accruals and prepayments for the month end Rent and Franchise Fee charges
  • Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Take action on any reconciling items within the account
  • Maintain the Cashflow forecast file on a weekly basis
  • Submit sales statement to managing agents
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payment of rental and franchise fee charges
  • Respond to any queries form internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide support with audit preparation for annual ad interim audits
  • Compete turnover certificates in a timely manner
Location / Office / HoursThe business is fantastically located on a large business park in new offices, with parking. The company works a hybrid structure of 2 days in the office and 3 days a week from home.Culture, Ownership and IndustryA listed PLC, this business is a large multi £bn logistics business, with a finance team of around thirty in the UK. The business has been constantly growing over the last few years and are now looking to add a new accountant who will grow with them.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate will have a real blend of management accounting meanwhile being able to help assist the wider accounting team. The role is very varied and holds an opportunity to have a genuine commercial impact with a growing company.
