Surface Mount Technology Operator | Rotherham | Full Time | You will earn a highly competitive salary with an excellent benefits packageOur client is a world-leading manufacturer of electronic security equipment for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications in the intruder alarm market. They design a wide range of multi-award-winning wired and wireless intruder alarm solutions,utilising market-leading technologies developed exclusively by our in-house R&D team.You will be working as part of a highly skilled and effective team to ensure that all SMT machinery and equipment is operated, maintained and kept running in an effective and efficient manner to produce quality products.If you have experience and qualifications in the areas below, with the ability to work as part of a team, with focused and individual skill sets, then our client wants to hear from you!What can you expect in return

Are you the right person for the job
  • Experience of working on SMT machinery and/or production lines
  • Excellent Communication and time management Skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisation
  • SAP, ASM (DEK), Fuji, BTU Reflow, AOI or similar SMT line experience
  • Soldering, component recognition and inspection experience (IPC-A-610)
What will your role as a Surface Mount Technology Operator look like
  • Delivering the production plan and be able to explain any deviations from targets
  • To efficiently set-up, operate and change over the SMT line as per relevant procedures
  • To ensure that all products are built in accordance with operating instructions and drawings
  • To inspect and rework electronic PCB to good practice
  • Ensure appropriate material control at all times and participate in stock takes
  • Assist in maintenance tasks
  • Take part in continuous improvement, 5S and lean initiatives within the department
