Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Groupareworking on behalf of a £150 million turnover manufacturing business in Rotherhamwho arelooking to recruit an HSE & Compliance Manager to join their safety team.Reporting to the HSE Manager for the site, you will supportthe implementation of the HSE Management Systems and drive the HSE strategy and agenda.The business is highly profitablesupplyingproducts Worldwideandthisrole will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving all business processes, policies and practices related to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, promoting ahigh level of awareness and compliance.Duties & responsibilities of the HSE & Compliance Manager include:

  • To provide Health, Safety and Environmental technical knowledge and expertise to the business
  • Proactively identify HSE improvement opportunities/recommendations and implementnew,systems policies and procedures asrequired
  • Managing DSEAR Assessments and audits
  • Managing REACH and COSHH Compliance and maintenance of the system
  • Accident and incident investigations and reporting of any accidents or incidents to the HSE (in line with procedures)
  • Assisting environmental compliance (waste management permitsetc)
  • Participate in all activities about the achievement and maintenance of ISO and any other industry relatedstandards
  • Maintain a safe working environment and actively support the continuing development of a safety culture across thesite
  • To advise the HSE Manager on the implications of current and emerging Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, including evaluating options for implementation
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous strong experience working within HSE in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IEMA qualification
  • Qualified Auditor to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Working knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application in a manufacturing environment
