Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Groups Manufacturing and Production division is working alongside an established global Fortune 500 manufacturing company to recruit a Production Site Lead to join their Sheffield facility.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Site Lead will be responsible for leading and organising teams of operators, across a 3-shift operation, ensuring manufacturing, safety, quality and output targets are achieved and ensuring the buildingcontinues to uphold its safety regulations with the necessary periodic alarm checks and fire drills.Our client is looking for an individual who enjoys continuously self-developing and can provide leadership and direction for the advancement of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and PMs.Other duties of the Production Site Lead will include;

  • Working alongside the Production Manager to ensure that all production is to specification
  • Managing and planning labour allocation following the production plan to ensure lines are resourced appropriately daily
  • Ongoing review of production process/flow, risk assessments and safe operating procedures
  • Designing and delivering training programs about H&S, Environmental, best practices, efficient line running
  • Providing leadership and support to the Supervisory teams
  • Ensuring that the site safety checks and fire drills are completed per the site schedule
  • Responsibility for the site ‘after hours’ including liaison with departments such as maintenance and warehousing
We are keen to speak with experienced Manufacturing and Production Site Leaders who can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in a continuous improvement environment with a ‘lean’ mindset
  • A technical mindset with experience in engineering
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative
  • People management experience with excellent communication skills
  • NEBOSH qualified (will consider IOSH, but must be willing to undertake a NEBOSH qualification)
  • Fire safety trained would be advantageous with fire marshall/fire warden experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail
