Job Description

Production Planner – Rotherham – Circa £36,000Chase & Holland are excited to be working with an innovative and growing global manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Production Planner to join their team.This newly created role will see you work closely with sales and production to ensure customer orders are scheduled, produced and dispatchedon time in full.In Return You’ll Receive:

Production Planner Responsibilities:
  • Produce and update production schedules to meet planned deliveries and to minimise non-productive time
  • Coordinate and execute planning and scheduling activities pertaining to materials, covering the output of a master production schedule and related information via MRP
  • Contribute to capacity planning process, understanding of and working within constraints
  • Produce works orders for production process
  • Commit to delivery dates agreed by commercial team and, where relevant, notify sales/shipping team of any problems that may affect material not being dispatchedon time
  • Allocate inventory to sales orders or to further processing routes within production
  • Ensure material allocated to works orders meets customers specification
  • Attend and contribute to selected meetings
  • Maintain any target stock levels of raw, intermediate and finished material
  • Liaise with shipping on despatch availability and provide packing lists and analysis certificates prior to product dispatches, in line with customers CMS
  • Ensure slow moving product is accounted for and, where relevant, work with sales and operations to find an avenue for use
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (flexible)Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in production scheduling/control in a fast moving manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills (Pivot tables / Vlookups etc)
  • Effective trouble shooting, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and react to changes quickly and effectively
  • Experience of a KPI driven working environment
