An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Health Visitor in the North Locality based at Rothbury Community Hospital. The post is for 37.5 hours per week and is a permanent contract. This is a single Health Visitor Team so only experienced Health Visitors will be considered.The successful candidate will be working in a team consisting of 1 health visitor, 1 nursery nurse and admin support. They will be required to work autonomously and as part of the wider Northumbria Health Visiting teams.As a health visitor in Northumberland, you will manage a caseload of families with children and deliver the universal Healthy Child Programme. This will include working with families with complex and safeguarding concerns.You will be part of the wider Northumberland, supportive and innovative health visiting team. The health visiting service in Northumbria plans and implements the service with local children centre’s, early years services and GP’s and Childrens Social Care. There will be the opportunity to develop community and health needs assessment skills to deliver a streamlined service.Health Visitors in Northumberland have monthly locality meetings, peer clinical supervision, representation on various professional groups, a robust in-house training programme and benefit from a supportive Safeguarding Team.Closing Date: 4th November 2020For further details / informal visits contact:Contact Jan Beswick
