Northumbria Primary Care are looking for a part time, Bank Salaried GP to cover sessions on an ad hoc basis across our group. We would like the appointed member of staff to begin working in Autumn/Winter 2020. If you are looking for a flexible option to work additional GP shifts as and when you are available this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We would expect applicants to be able to provide at least 1 day cover per month.We have 7 practices within our group, all of which operate SystmOne. We have worked hard to developed a friendly and efficient practice supported by Nurse Practitioners for home visiting and acute care, Medicine Technicians for medication workload and clinical coders for daily administrative workload, as a result clinical admin and medication queries are largely removed from our GPs day allowing you to focus on complex cases which require the unique skills a GP possess. Our practices also offer 15 minute appointments and a flexible approach to start and end times as we appreciate family life and work life need to work in harmony.The successful applicant will be invited to monthly educational events with fellow NPC GPs, be entitled to 5 days study leave (pro rata) and have indemnity fully covered by NPC.We now have a new progressive salary scale for our GPs which means newly qualified GPs or those with less than 5 years experience have progression throughout their first five years in recognition of their ongoing commitment to NPC. Our salary scale is as follows:- For 0-2 years experience - £8,000 per session- For 2-3 years experience - £8,500 per session- For 3-5 years experience - £9,000 per session- For over 5 years experience - £9,500 per session.- For GP Partners - £11,184 per sessionAs NPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust all eligible employees can access NHS Pension Scheme, Fleet Solutions lease vehicles, Childcare vouchers etc. In addition should you be interested in portfolio working within specialist areas of secondary care this is something we can support.Experience of working within Northumberland and using SystmOne would be desirable but not essential.Closing date: 5th October 2020For further details / informal visits contact:David Hedgcock
