Techniche Global are working with an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Senior Finance Manager. Working within a designated business unit, you will provide and manage financial services including accounting, cost management, reporting, budgetingand forecasting. Its essential that you have knowledge of financial accounting and statutory requirements within a European country or region and you will be a fully qualified financial accountant with significant previous experience working in a multinationalcorporation.This is an agile work environment, with occasional site presence required in Rosyth.Key responsibilities:* Ensure that consolidated balance sheets and P&L statements are fully and accurately maintained for all business activities* Ensure that all assets and liabilities are accurately recorded, registered and monitored.* Oversee consolidated cash deposits and cash flow for areas allocated, including investments, draw down, cash allocations and maintenance of rolling cash forecasts.* Undertake financial assessments of current and future opportunities such that a full and complete understanding of risk and opportunity is presented to management* Prepare and review quarterly VAT returns and submissions, as required, liaise with Customs & Excise and ensure that company meets its obligations* Ensure that annual audits are completed on time and that any recommendations are fully implemented so that the integrity of the business is maintained at all times* Consolidate all financial information from across the business and produce group consolidated financial reports for reporting to group and local fiscal authorities* Ensure effective management of staff so that they are fully trained, motivated and organised to meet department and business objectives.* Ensure all accounting requirements and deadlines are fully met and that contact and on-going relationship is maintained and managed with relevant stakeholders (owners, local tax and finance advisors, legal bodies and auditors).Key Skills:* Fully qualified and experienced accountant.* Previously worked in a similar role, at Senior Management level.* Experience of financial accounting operations within a business or business unit or project.
