Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a NDT Quality Inspector for them Energy & Marine business Unit. Rate: £20 UMB/hrLocation: RosythDuration: 12 months initially Main Duties:* Structural inspection and acceptance of ships structures* Provide close liaison with inspection and verification bodies as required.* Manage the ITR Inspection Test Record inspection regime and maintain completion records within CMS system* Manage and coordinate LR inspections and co-ordinating their inspection diary.* Conduct product verification audits and quality investigations on board ship as required.* Where qualified carry out Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant or Ultrasonic Inspection of Welds and ComponentsTechnical experience and qualifications:* Qualified to a recognised trade standard (Fabrication/Welding/Shipwright/Marine Engineering) and a relevant academic level (HNC/SVQ Level 3).* This Post requires extensive experience in multi-disciplines within a manufacturing environment with both fabrication and structural experience.* Work experience within a process-based validation context or within a compliance based environment is desirable.* Proven experience in conducting inspections,* Good working knowledge of ship-building practices, standards and acceptance criteria.* Ability to read and interpret ship construction drawings & specifications.* Minimum PCN Level 2 in MT, PT and UT (3.8/3.9)* RI PCN Level 2 preferable* IPAF Preferrable* Any additional NDT Certifications or Coatings inspection certifications* At least 5 years continued experience in NDT
