Job Description

Reed is delighted to be working with the UKs largest independent drinks wholesaler to recruit for a Wine Business Development Manager for their friendly team.The successful candidate will beresponsible for the development of the wine category within their region. It is essential that you have a positive attitude to on-trade wine sales and marry commerciality with excellent wine knowledge.Permanent. Full time. Salary £35,000 - £40,000.Benefits:

Key responsibilities:
  • Opening new wine accounts, working alongside the Account Managers.
  • Maintaining and updating a live customer prospect list.
  • Account management of the top 50 wine accounts in their region
  • Quarterly wine reviews with key accounts
  • Responsibility for wine development plans
  • Building commercial and interesting wine lists in-line with market trends.
  • Take ownership of Regional Wine Tastings and wine-led events.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Commercial experience in selling wine (on-trade preferred).
  • A good track record in sales and meeting growth targets. • Knowledge of the wine trade and trends
  • WSET Level 3 preferred
