Job Description

Van Delivery DriverWorkingMonday to Friday 06:00 StartsPay rate:£16.58 per hourWhats in it for mePeople Solutions are pleased to be working with a well-known furniture manufacturer to support their delivery network across the UK.Working Monday to Friday, starting at 6am & earning £16.58 per hour, you will be a key part of the delivery team.Benefits:Whilst working with People Solutions, you will have access to our online Worker Portal where you can view your weekly pay slips and book your holidays (holiday entitlement is 28 days per year pro-rata, accrued as you work).You will also have access to our fantastic Employee Assistance Program where you can receive discounts & offers for you and your family.Day to Day Duties:As the face of the business in the local area, your day will start with you and your delivery crew mate spending time ensuring you have everything needed for the day ahead. Youll then be responsible for:

  • Delivering furniture to homes across the local areas.
  • Working flexible hours to deliver outstanding levels of service.
  • Using a hand-held computer device to act as a routing system and obtain customer signatures for deliveries.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure the safety of your vehicle & load.
Essential Skills:
  • A full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points for insurance reasons.
  • Good time keeping.
  • A professional appearance and attitude, & confident when dealing with people.
  • The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience in a similar delivery role would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
What training is provided
  • Training on the PDA scanners, manual handling and routing systems will be provided.
