Job Description

Quality EngineerRochester c.£44k DOE & bonus & benefits 37 hours per week - FLEXI TIME, core hours 10am – 3pm with an early finish every Friday!Brand new opportunity to join an incredibly sought after employer as a Quality Engineer joining a team responsible for the manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)The key duties for this role include:

  • Carrying out First Article Inspections on PCBs, bare and assembled.
  • Responsibility for investigating customer quality concerns and writing reports on results.
  • Communicating contractual quality requirements to the assembly team and ensuring adherence.
  • Carrying out Product Audits, with accurate documentation.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders across the team to ensure failure reporting and corrective action activity processes are followed.
  • Consistently focusing on and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have/be:
  • Educated to Level 4 (HNC or equivalent) as a minimum in a relevant technical field (e.g. Engineering, Electronics)
  • Able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of Quality Systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the manufacture of PCBs.
  • The ability to understand technical data.
  • A process driven mindset with the ability to solve problems independently.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of Quality System requirements (EN9100, AS9100)
  • Carried out First Article Inspections to AS9102 in a previous role.
  • Come across IPC Manufacturing standards.
  • A demonstrable focus on continuous improvement with an understanding of relevant tools and techniques.
