Job Description

Start date: January/ April 2022Contract: Full time, PermanentA popular Grammar school I am working with require a Teacher of Computer Science to join their school. You will be joining a team of committed professionals to teach Years 7-13, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Sixth Form. This postis suitable for an experienced teacher or NQT with a passion for teaching Science. Experience of teaching the IB is not essential.This school is not only a school with Ofsted rated outstanding outcomes but also has a rich history and inspiring reputation as one of the countrys leading state Grammar Schools.It is consistently ranked amongst the best state schools in the country and is an International Baccalaureate World School. Teaching at this particular Grammar School is an inspiring and rewarding experience.What you will need to succeed:

  • Be a qualified Computer Science teacher
  • Passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum
  • High expectations for yourself and the children to ensure that all of the pupils achieve their very best

  • Provide an enhanced DBS registered on the update service. If you do not hold a valid DBS be willing to apply for a new DBS. The cost of a DBS is a one-off payment of £40 with an annual subscription of £13 per year to the DBS Update Service.
  • If you have been a UK resident for less than 5 years, a right to work visa must be provided and a criminal background check certificate must be provided for any country resided in for 6 months or more within the past 5 years.
