Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join an industry leading supplier & wholesaler to have responsibility to manage and run the warehousing operation. The successful warehouse supervisor will be ensuring the supply chain flows smoothlyto the nationwide sites.Client DetailsMy client based near Rochdale has been in the industry for over 25 years where they are now the leading name as a wholesaler and supplier in their sector. With 9 sites across the nation, my client works with all the leading manufacturers, they supply productsto suit many needs across nationwide projects.DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the Warehouse Supervisor are:

  • Responsible for warehouse activities such as picking, packing and shipping to the branches nationwide
  • Optimising and planning the warehouse layout to improve efficiency
  • Conducting audits to improve safety compliance
  • Liaising with the purchasing team to ensure stock levels remain optimal
  • Forecasting peak periods
  • Ensuring efficient logistical processes for receiving, inspecting and storing goods
  • Inputting data on the supply chain activity
  • Provide great stakeholder satisfaction and building lasting relationships across the national branches
ProfileThe successful Warehouse Supervisor will ideally have several years experience in warehousing and management. The successful candidate will also be prepared to be hands on for the role assisting and motivating the team.Other key factors that the successful candidate will have are:
  • Prior experience of Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills
  • Customer service focused
  • Ability to make effective decisions as you will be responsible for warehousing operation
  • IT proficiency
As this is a hand on role, it is also crucial the successful candidate has valid FLT licenseJob OfferThe salary for this role is up to £35,000 per annum plus benefits. This is also an amazing opportunity to implement your own ideas and strategic vision as you will be the most senior member in the warehouse.
