Job Description

Head of FinanceRochdale / Greater Manchester£65,000 + Bonus, BenefitsFantastic scope for career progression in the future.My client the Fastest Growing Kitchen Brand in UK with a Parent company in Germany that is part of the worlds largest kitchen manufacturer of high quality and world class kitchens, with more than 70 years of experience. Based in the UK, this exciting kitchenmanufacturer and retailer currently have over 60 stores across the UK with backing and plans in place to take this to 300. As such, they are looking for a pro-active, flexible professional to join their Senior Management Team.This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused individual who wants to make a real difference. Capable of supporting the Sales & Operations Director to drive this growing business forward, you will be a self-motivated individual whois comfortable with a hands-on role but will have the ability to contribute at a strategic level. The role is based in Manchester, but there may be some travel (sometime including overnight stays) in the UK, with the occasional travel to Germany.Your role will be varied and challenging and will include -

  • Management of the finance department and personal development of all employees within the team.
  • Manage and lead the team successfully through accounting process periods including preparation of month end, year end and annual budgets
  • Commentary to SMT against these accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with our suppliers and franchise network
  • Review and improve accounts systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and fiduciary duties.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • Manage and oversee our annual audit process with the chosen auditors
  • Contribute and Involvement in wider operational projects challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate
To be considered for this role you must:
  • Have previous experience as a senior member of a finance team or head of finance.
  • Experience of working with franchises desirable.
  • Have experience of implementing and maintaining financial controls.
  • Be a CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified accountant or be qualified by experience.
  • Have advanced reporting and MS Office skills, especially using Excel.
  • Be proficient with Access Financials.
  • Process excellent communication skills and be able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
