Job Description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of specialist engineering company who are based in the Rochdale area.They are looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team, taking real responsibility for technical elements of a wide variety of projects.You will be fully supported by an experienced team to grow and develop your skills as well as knowledge of the Company products.As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer your main responsibilities include:

  • Design and procure mechanical parts, such as components of bearing assemblies, guarding, adapter plates etc.
  • Prepare drawings for layouts and lifting of equipment
  • Carry out technical assessments of screw pump bearings and write up reports
  • Arrange quotes for refurbishment and repair of equipment
  • Organise and order parts for projects
    • Key attributes:
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience of AutoCAD or equivalent drawing packages
  • Ability to improve processes, and work effectively with others to implement changes
  • Close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and suppliers
